The Impact product page states 7 cups of grain and up to 11 cups of flour. NutriMill’s comparison chart instead states 8 cups and 12 cups. We have not confirmed the reason for that difference. Neither number is silently substituted for the other in our recommendation tools.
Before buying, ask which limit applies to the actual unit and read its manual. A grain hopper and a flour canister hold different materials, so they are not interchangeable measurements. Flour volume also depends on texture and aeration; see the grain-to-flour yield guide.
When the smaller system makes sense
Consider the Impact when you want a dedicated electric flour mill and a smaller working batch fits the way you bake. Nesting parts may help your storage plan, but measure the arrangement you will actually store. A compact motor base alone does not describe the complete setup.
The Classic comparison is the next step if you want a larger stated flour bowl. Both use impact mechanisms; moving to a larger bowl does not by itself establish a difference in flour quality.

The Impact product page gives separate care directions for removable collection parts, the filter and the motor base. Keep those instructions separate: a dishwasher allowance for certain detachable pieces does not permit immersing the motor. Dry the filter fully before use.
Check whether cleaning, drying and locating these parts will fit between your normal milling sessions. For someone who wants to collect directly into an ordinary bowl, the stone-versus-impact comparison is useful.
Questions to resolve on the exact offer
Confirm the Impact model identity, regional electrical rating, included hopper and canister, and current instruction booklet. Obtain the exact approved-grain list instead of borrowing Classic permissions. Missing documentation is a reason to ask a question, not a reason to assume compatibility.
We do not claim the Impact is the cheapest current offer, the quietest mill or a measured flour-quality winner. Our reason to shortlist it is its documented design and its potential fit for smaller batches, subject to the unresolved capacity detail.
