Identify the part you are cleaning
Separate the receiving bowl or canister from the milling mechanism in your plan. Detachable lids, filters and separator cups may each have their own cleaning rules. Read the full procedure before taking the system apart, and keep track of any small parts.

Use the manufacturer’s actual method
Harvest says to keep its stones dry. The referenced Mockmill manual also says not to wash stones or allow water into the mill. WonderMill’s electric manual distinguishes brushing collection parts from wiping the exterior. KGM’s linked guide prohibits dishwasher cleaning.
Impact permits washing specified removable pieces but separates that permission from the motor base and filter requirements. Read the exact source rather than treating “dishwasher-safe parts” as a description of the entire appliance.
Rice is not a universal cleaning instruction
Some manufacturers describe milling a specific dry ingredient at a specified setting as a cleaning step. That is not a general permission to feed rice into any grinder or use the same procedure after every contamination or blockage. The mill and the problem both matter.
After an unsuitable oily or wet ingredient, consult the ingredient-limits guide and the supplied manual. Do not add solvent, water or an improvised abrasive to a dry electric milling chamber.
Check the system before the next batch
Only reassemble components in the condition required by the manual. Confirm that filters and any washed removable parts are fully dry, fitted correctly and not visibly damaged. Do not treat routine cleaning as proof that a worn or faulty part is repaired.
If output remains abnormal, use the troubleshooting reference to identify the relevant manufacturer guidance. For suspected damage or electrical faults, stop and contact the manufacturer rather than improvising an internal repair.
